We will be attending the

"GOING BATTY"  BAT WALK at RENISHAW HALL

An evening walk around the Italianate Gardens of Renishaw Hall looking for and learning about this mysterious creature.

Bat walks are great fun, and by far the best way to get closer to bats. Normally humans cannot hear bats as they echolocate to find their way around in the dark – bats make high-frequency sounds and bounce them off their surroundings, listening to the echoes to build up a sound picture. By using a little gadget called a bat detector, bat walk participants will be able to tune in and eavesdrop on the secret world of bats!

Walk commences at 6.30pm and is concluded with a hot drink in the Rex Whistler Meeting Room. Adults £5.00, Children £3.00.  Booking essential

 at RENISHAW HALL

If you missed the first one here's a second chance to "Go Batty"  with the added attraction of a (delicious, speaking from experience!) Pie and Pea Supper. The walk will be as above, around the Italianate Gardens.

Walk commences at 6.30pm and is concluded with a Pie & Peas supper in the Gallery Cafe. Adults £10.50 Children £8.50.  Booking essential as above.
